Utfors Bredband AB
Mr.Lövdahl was hired by Utfors Bredband AB to develop existing and new business areas based on their platforms and broadband network. Utfors Broadband AB is a major broadband operator in the Swedish market. Mr.Lövdahl contributed in improving several areas by refining the concepts and standardizing the services. He also developed a new business area for hosting of virtual operators and ISP’s. This new business area was already after six months representing 50% of the company’s turnover.
Ericsson
USCredential conducted a Service Delivery Benchmarking project during March-July 2005 comparing Ericsson’s Service Delivery approach to that of 10 competitors. The project highlighted several Best Practices and provideda better and deeper understanding of the competition and their Service Delivery units. The data was used to validate strategies and plans in relation to the competitors.Cost efficiency [operational excellence] was one key focus area along with Competence and Resource Management. Ericsson wanted to stay as number one player in the Telecom Services Marketplace. There were many decisions to be taken with large impact on the Ericsson Service Delivery set up. Before addressing many of the key issues, it was fundamentally important to understand and learn what other companies were doing.
Global Crossing
For their establishment in Europe, Global Crossing started up a Pan European Project with Region Managers in each country. In Sweden Mr. Lövdahl was hired as the Region Manager responsible for establishing the complete Operation of Network and Platforms. The work covered testing and start up of the complete network and platforms, introduction of all routines and processes, connecting customers, operating First Line Maintenance, building the organization, recruiting the staff, arranging training of the staff and hiring of sub contractors. After seven months Mr. Lövdahl could turn over a complete running operations organization to an employed permanent Region Manager also recruited by Mr. Lövdahl.
Tele2
Mr.Weidstam designed and introduced the first interconnect agreement when the GSM operator Tele2 started traffic in Sweden. He also started up the entire business operations for Tele2 Denmark, and arranged all interconnect Agreements ensuring profitability. Mr.Weidstam designed the number portability specifications for all Swedish operators.
Mr. Weidstam managed the System Choice for Comviq, the first competitive operator, in Sweden. He was Strategic Advisor to 3 (Hutchison) in Sweden during the entire set-up phase of the first 3G network in Sweden.
